Hej tillsammans,
unfortunately, I don't speak Swedish; so I have to write in English, about which I'm very sorry.

I'm sure that the Setra SG 321 UL in these two pictures has belonged to Swebus. The order of the doors and windows as well as the lights in front of the doors at the roof are excactly the same as on Swebus 5911-5915. Also the design of the seats and the Swedish word "Stanar" on the stop-sign in the interior fit to Swebus.

Since about december 2012, the present owner of this bus has been a company called "Bruns Reisen". The company's main seat is in Varel, but this bus is based at a depot in a little town called Jever, where it's usually deployed as a school bus. The two photos were taken a month ago at the central bus station in the nearby city of Wilhelmshaven. As didn't get the VIN-number, I'm not able to say which of the six Setra SG 321 UL, Swebus used to have, it is.

Trevligt att de finns EU länder där Lågt insteg inte är lag som de är här....

Precis. Svårt att skylla på EU när bussarna får rulla i Tyskland.

Hej,
thanks for welcoming me.  :D

Did the Setra SG 321 UL have to leave Sweden because buses without a low entry aren't allowed anymore? In Germany there is no general restriction of buses with steps, but there are some local public transport associations who avoid them. Furthermore, low entry buses are funded by authorities. Therefore, there is a strong tendency towards low entry buses and the number of more classical vehicles with steps is decreasing.
A driver told me that "Bruns Reisen" bought the Setra SG 321 UL because they needed a bus with a large number of seats. Besides the regular school traffic it's also deployed for a sheltered workshop and it's not allowed to have disabled passengers standing on a moving bus. That's the reason why that bus company didn't buy a low entry bus (as it usually would).

I'm still wondering about the lights at the roof of the bus. Is it really necessary to have them outside? Is the interior illumination of the steps not sufficient?

Hi!

The outside lamps are fitted there to light up the road outside the bus when the bus stops and the doors is open, in Sweden many busstops are not fitted with illumination when you come a bit outside of cities so it can be wery dark and difficult for both the driver and the passengers.

The lamps are fitted with a timerelay and they are still light up about 15-30 sek after the door are closed.
