Mad_BOSS

I see, that you are interested in this vehicle. It was one of projects in production of buses, which failed because of price.
One friend of mine described its history in Russian, this is my translation into English with my additions:

In the beginning of 90's Russian government turned the wing of change on, and opened doors for western companies, which came to Russia. This time they had an idea to produce a bus of european level with russian parts, which could make it cheaper. Then companies Unipress, Investautorus and Mostransavto founded a joint enterprise. Scania chassis was selected because of durability, reliability and adaptation to winter conditions. Svensk company seen russian market as an actively developing, which needs new buses, and that's why they decided to take part in this project. This enterprise, consisting of 4 companies, started to create a new bus, which is adapted to Russia and compliant to international standarts.
In August, 1993, at the Moscow Motor Show, visitors could see a strange bus: body, very alike to LiAZ-5256, but half a meter longer with doors 2-2-1. At the windscreen they could see a name of the Moscow region transport operator – Mostransavto, and the name of the bus – RusScan with little badge «Scania 113»  at the rear part. It was RusScan-5263, a new city-bus, built from LiAZ body at the Scania chassis, which would be produced  by a plant, belonging to Mostransavto.  It was the first RusScan, built by STC «Poisk» in Dmitrov at the Scania-113 chassis.
Russcan was modernised from each vehicle to another – though, there were not any similar buses at all. Bus, built by «Unipress» plant in 1994, had already new front part an windscreen. Scania approved design of the body, which had many interesting solutions, and Unipress already got ready to start serial production of Russans, but...
90's were «black» for russian economics: it was seriously damaged, and transport operators were not ready to buy so expensive bus (it costed like two LiAZes-5256), even powerful and reliable. That's why the party of «Russcans», ordered for Mostransavto, was the first and the last ever built.
